The architecture of "The Worlds Biggest Machine^" is of course expressed in the many underlying communications standards; however it is far from explicit nor readily accessible. While on one hand, marketing people are busy looking for their so called "Killer Applications" that will maintain the economic growth of this machine, the engineers are struggling to keep up with the myriad of networks, pro tocols and standards that interconnect an ever growing number of network services across a rapidly increasing variety of platforms and protocols. Within the industry, it is commonly accepted that fewer than 10% of engineers working in the field have sufficient knowledge and experience to tackle the p- study and feasibility phases; that is to say, only this group can process the knowl edge and overview of the elusive architecture that allow them to identify the net work nodes, network services, protocols and messages that will be affected by adding new network functionalities. It follows that 90% of engineers are capable of performing the execution phase.

Network Models For Data Science written by Alan Julian Izenman and has been published by Cambridge University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2023-01-05 with Mathematics categories.
This text on the theory and applications of network science is aimed at beginning graduate students in statistics, data science, computer science, machine learning, and mathematics, as well as advanced students in business, computational biology, physics, social science, and engineering working with large, complex relational data sets. It provides an exciting array of analysis tools, including probability models, graph theory, and computational algorithms, exposing students to ways of thinking about types of data that are different from typical statistical data. Concepts are demonstrated in the context of real applications, such as relationships between financial institutions, between genes or proteins, between neurons in the brain, and between terrorist groups. Methods and models described in detail include random graph models, percolation processes, methods for sampling from huge networks, network partitioning, and community detection. In addition to static networks the book introduces dynamic networks such as epidemics, where time is an important component.

The Lean Brain Theory written by Javier Villalba-Diez, PhD and has been published by CRC Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-11-08 with Business & Economics categories.
The most complex organization known in the universe is inside of our heads: our brain. Because organizations are formed by human beings, The Lean Brain Theory aims to mimic human brain structure and functionality so as to enable the emergence of brain-like organizations in which the 'neurons' are the human-beings and the 'axons' ought to be Lean Management oriented behavioral and communication patterns. These networks ought to evolve towards brain-like configurations that display thinking-like processes and ultimately organizational consciousness. The Lean Brain Theory offers a quantifiable holistic framework to strategically design any organization as a human brain. By embedding complexity into the Strategic Organizational Design (SOD) and combining this with Lean Management and neuropsychological state of the art knowledge, The Lean Brain Theory ends up with the Brain-Organization metaphor and makes it possible. This idea of embedding complexity into organizational design is a follow up to the book The Hoshin Kanri Forest. That book dealt with the methodology of creating 'forest-like' topologies. The Lean Brain Theory aims to set the ground for Lean organizations of the future that embrace both Business Intelligence and Complex Networked Lean Strategic Organizational Design. The organization as a super-network evolves towards 'intelligent' Human-Brain-like entity. The Lean Brain Theory ultimately seeks to integrate an anthropomorphic organizational paradigm with future tendencies of technological advances. In this way, the brain-like organization emerging from it can be regarded as bionic.

Great interest is now focused on distributed autonomous robotic systems (DARS) as a new strategy for the realization of flexible, robust, and intelligent robots. Inspired by autonomous, decentralized, and self-organizing biological systems, the field of DARS encompasses broad interdisciplinary technologies related not only to robotics and computer engineering but also to biology and psychology. The rapidly growing interest in this new area of research was manifest in the first volume of Distributed Autonomous Robotic Systems, published in 1994. This second volume in the series presents the most recent work by eminent researchers and includes such topics as multirobot control, distributed robotic systems design, self-organizing systems, and sensing and navigation for cooperative robots. Distributed Autonomous Robotic Systems 2 is a valuable source for those whose work involves robotics and will be of great interest to those in the fields of artificial intelligence, self-organizing systems, artificial life, and computer science.
