First impressions seem to always get the better of us. Quick judgments about others, ourselves, and our communities never seem to cease making their presence known in our minds. Psychologically, these initial assumptions and impressions that our mind receives are tactics our mind uses as a means of survival, sometimes aligning with our intuition to help us determine what or who is going to be helpful or harmful. But we must be careful here. Our mind is equipped to handle countless sensations and thoughts, and due to this, we sometimes get so bogged down by this demanding, busy world that we take the easy way out and make a judgment based solely on superficial knowledge, without any deeper reflection or analysis. The world is fast-paced, and although our mind does well to keep up, it needs to be able to consciously recognize that our health, both individual and as human beings, is dependent on the strive to understand oneself and the other with empathy and compassion. COVID-19 has shed a new spotlight on the increasing mental health crisis that is facing our world, and I believe that one of the main causes is careless thinking that leads to quick assumptions, to save oneself the time of research and contemplation. Don’t let others think for you. Yes, respect those with the authority to offer professional opinions, but don’t be a follower, be a student and learn from every experience. When your health seems to suffer, don’t assume the worst. When someone comes at you the wrong way, don’t write them off as a heartless soul. When you have a tough interaction with someone representing another community, don’t assume that everyone else is like that. Instead, look for the best in yourself, others, and the community. There is the power behind the phrase “Love thy neighbor”. I think too often we, as biohackers focus more on the physical side of things, which is, of course, important but does not truly define what it means to be human. The human person is a compositum of both mind and body. Spiritual and Corporeal substance. When biohacking ourselves, let’s remember to start with the intention of acting out of love for thyself, of thy neighbor, and of thy community. There will always be disagreements between people, but when we see the other person as our neighbor, as another one of us, so to speak, we offer respect and extinguish any hatred and sinful intentions from the relationship, thus creating a peaceful, happier, and more vibrant environment to foster a healthy mind that’s prepared for whatever the onerous world throws at it.

The Spark Factor written by Molly Maloof and has been published by HarperCollins this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2023-01-31 with Health & Fitness categories.

Foreword by Dave Asprey A breakthrough program for women to revive their lost energy and vitality, developed by a leading biohacker and physician Inside of you, there is a spark—it’s what animates you, and without it, you could not live. This energy creation isn’t mystical, nor is it spiritual; it is science. We know from research that our cellular machinery transforms the food we eat and the air we breathe into the electricity that fuels us. With the right lifestyle inputs, we glow with energy; but when the demands on our bodies exceed our capacity—as is true for so many of us—we become burned out, mentally and physically. Now, in The Spark Factor, Dr. Molly Maloof shares a program uniquely tailored to the biology of women—a plan that targets the mitochondria, the power source of the cells. As Dr. Maloof shows, the intense, all-or-nothing approaches commonly used by biohackers to optimize health—including sustained fasting, ultra-low-carb diets, and intense training—can be harmful, especially for women, because they create excessive stress in an already-stressed body, which can make us tired, weak, and prone to illness. Dr. Maloof’s innovative program—which has been used successfully by her patients—offers lifestyle changes that target the unique biology of women and provide immediate and long-term benefits. Instead of denying our bodies, we need to listen to what they are telling us. Once we become aware of our physical needs, we can give ourselves the resources to become more connected, nourished, safe, and strong—at both the micro- and the macro-level. With cutting-edge biohacking insights, strategies for personalized nutrition, hormonal health and stress management, The Spark Factor is the book women have been waiting for to help them reclaim their vitality and achieve lasting health.
