Frontiers In Superconductivity Research written by Barry P. Martins and has been published by Nova Publishers this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2003 with Science categories.

Superconductivity is the ability of certain materials to conduct electrical current with no resistance and extremely low losses. High temperature superconductors, such as La2-xSrxCuOx (Tc=40K) and YBa2Cu3O7-x (Tc=90K), were discovered in 1987 and have been actively studied since. In spite of an intense, worldwide, research effort during this time, a complete understanding of the copper oxide (cuprate) materials is still lacking. Many fundamental questions are unanswered, particularly the mechanism by which high-Tc superconductivity occurs. More broadly, the cuprates are in a class of solids with strong electron-electron interactions. An understanding of such 'strongly correlated' solids is perhaps the major unsolved problem of condensed matter physics with over ten thousand researchers working on this topic. High-Tc superconductors also have significant potential for applications in technologies ranging from electric power generation and transmission to digital electronics. This ability to carry large amounts of current can be applied to electric power devices such as motors and generators, and to electricity transmission in power lines. For example, superconductors can carry as much as 100 times the amount of electricity of ordinary copper or aluminum wires of the same size. Many universities, research institutes and companies are working to develop high-Tc superconductivity applications and considerable progress has been made. This volume brings together leading research in this growth field.

Understand and implement superconducting Qubit Design using Qiskit Metal in the Quantum Computing environment. This book provides practical knowledge and step-by-step guidance on designing, analyzing, and fabricating quantum chips. The book begins with an introduction to the fundamentals of quantum computing, covering essential terms, concepts, and the history of quantum computers. It explores the differences between quantum and classical computers and provides an overview of superconducting qubits. Next, you will learn the theory and practical aspects of superconducting qubits. Detailed mathematical and computational analyses of different qubit types and circuits are provided, along with a comprehensive guide to creating quantum circuits using Qiskit and Qiskit Metal. You will learn to design quantum chips and analyze components such as Josephson junctions and qubit couplers, using advanced methods such as the Lumped Oscillator Model, Quasi-Lumped Oscillator Model, and Energy Participation Ratio Method. Finally, the book covers the fabrication of superconducting qubits, detailing the manufacturing process, requirements, and methods to address fabrication issues. After reading this book, you will be able to advance your understanding and skills in this cutting-edge field, making complex concepts accessible and providing a roadmap for practical application. What You Will Learn Install the Qiskit framework for creating basic quantum computing circuits Create your first superconducting qubit chip from scratch Formulate the back-end mathematical and computational model for the generated superconducting chips Understand the Quasi-LOM (lumped oscillator model) and how it differs from the LOM Who This Book Is For Quantum computing professionals working with superconducting qubits

50 Years Of Yang Mills Theory written by G. 't Hooft and has been published by World Scientific this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2005 with Science categories.

On the 50th anniversary of YangOCoMills theory, this invaluable volume looks back at the developments and achievements in elementary particle physics that ensued from that beautiful idea. During the last five decades, Yang-Mills theory, which is undeniably the most important cornerstone of theoretical physics, has expanded widely. It has been investigated from many perspectives, and many new and unexpected features have been uncovered from this theory. In recent decades, apart from high energy physics, the theory has been actively applied in other branches of physics, such as statistical physics, condensed matter physics, nonlinear systems, etc. This makes the theory an indispensable topic for all who are involved in physics. An international team of experts, each of whom has left his mark on the developments of this remarkable theory, contribute essays or more detailed technical accounts to this volume. These articles highlight the new discoveries from the respective authorsOCO perspectives. The distinguished contributors are: S Adler, F A Bais, C Becchi, M Creutz, A De Rjula, B S DeWitt, F Englert, L D Faddeev, P Hasenfratz, R Jackiw, A Polyakov, V N Popov, R Stora, P van Baal, P van Nieuwenhuizen, S Weinberg, F Wilczek, E Witten, C N Yang. Included in each article are introductory and explanatory remarks by the editor, G OCOt Hooft, who is himself a major player in the development of Yang-Mills theory."

Quantum Statistical Theory Of Superconductivity written by S. Fujita and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1996-11-30 with Science categories.

In this text, Shigeji Fujita and Salvador Godoy guide first and second-year graduate students through the essential aspects of superconductivity. The authors open with five preparatory chapters thoroughly reviewing a number of advanced physical concepts-such as free-electron model of a metal, theory of lattice vibrations, and Bloch electrons. The remaining chapters deal with the theory of superconductivity-describing the basic properties of type I, type II compound, and high-Tc superconductors as well as treating quasi-particles using Heisenberg's equation of motion. The book includes step-by-step derivations of mathematical formulas, sample problems, and illustrations.
