Orthogonal tensors are mainly used to describe rotation. They play a central role in robotics, rigid-body kinematics, and all other branches of engineering mechanics, especially for modelling elastic and inelastic behavior of materials. Whilst vast literature is available for common rotation-related tasks, such as coordinate changes, most reference books tend to cover one or two methods for handling rotations, while often neglecting relatively obscure rotation-related tasks, such as statistical sampling of rotation for multiscale constitutive modeling. Further specialized rotation-related research can be found only in disparate journal articles. Of the few books that do exist, most are aimed at mathematicians, leaving a need for this self-contained engineering focused review that covers both elementary and advanced concepts. Rotation, Reflection, and Frame Changes presents a refreshingly broad range of rotation-related research that is routinely needed in modern engineering practice. By including theorems and physical insight acquired over her 30+ career as both as laboratory and university researcher, Rebecca Brannon has created a truly practical and accessible guide for engineers and scientists in engineering mechanics. Although the book assumes familiarity with multivariate calculus, linear algebra, and elementary tensor analysis, tutorials and provided computer source code guide the reader through more advanced topics.

M.U.S. (Mathematical Uniform Space) is a new number of π (pi), representing the reality of the Universe in which we live. With this number, we created a new geometry, Hyperelliptical Geometry, which will provide the unification of physics, thus uniting the Theory of Relativity and Quantum Theory. A new geometry for a new Mathematics and a new Physics. (ISBN 978-65-00-98107-0).

Information Theory And Quantum Physics written by Herbert S. Green and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-12-06 with Science categories.
In this book, H. S. Green, a former student of Max Born and well known as an author in physics and in philosophy of science, presents an individual and modern approach to theoretical physics and related fundamental problems. Starting from first principles, the links between physics and information science are unveiled step by step: modern information theory and the classical theory of the Turing machine are combined to create a new interpretation of quantum computability, which is then applied to field theory, gravitation and submicroscopic measurement theory and culminates in a detailed examination of the role of the conscious observer in physical measurements. The result is a highly readable book that unifies a wide range of scientific knowledge and is essential reading for all scientists and philosophers of science interested in the interpretation and the implications of the interaction between information science and basic physical theories.

"The early chapters contain the topics from linear algebra that students need to know in order to read the rest of the book. The later chapters are devoted to advanced topics, which allow students with more experience to study more intricate types of frames. Toward that end, a Student Presentation section gives detailed proofs of fairly technical results with the intention that a student could work out these proofs independently and prepare a presentation to a class or research group. The authors have also presented some stories in the Anecdotes section about how this material has motivated and influenced their students."--BOOK JACKET.

Over the past few years a remarkably rapid evolution in the professional level of neonatology and in the survival of immature infants has been witnessed. Persisting ductus arteriosus is common in this population and is associated with impaired longterm outcome. Many uncertainties exist concerning indication, approach, best time, and side effects of necessary measurements and interventions to avoid later neurodevelopmental handicaps of the survivors. Experts in neonatology and pediatric cardiology give their opinion in this book. We are sure it will help to define the level of evidence and to develop standards of intervention for persisting ductus arteriosus in Europe. Adequate dealing with the ductus will become a challenge for every perinatal center.

How do major scientific discoveries reshape their originators’, and our own, sense of reality and concept of the physical world? The Scientist as Philosopher explores the interaction between physics and philosophy. Clearly written and well illustrated, the book first places the scientist-philosophers in the limelight as we learn how their great scientific discoveries forced them to reconsider the time-honored notions with which science had described the natural world. Then, the book explains that what we understand by nature and science have undergone fundamental conceptual changes as a result of the discoveries of electromagnetism, thermodynamics and atomic structure. Even more dramatically, the quantum theory and special theory of relativity questioned traditional assumptions about causation and the passage of time. The author concludes that the dance between science and philosophy is an evolutionary process, which will keep them forever entwined.

Architectural Geometry written by Helmut Pottmann and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2007 with Architectural design categories.
Architectural Geometry is the first book to introduce a revolutionary new approach to design. Geometry lies at the core of the architectural design process. It is omnipresent, from the initial form-finding stages to the actual construction. Modern constructive geometry provides a variety of tools for the efficient design, analysis, and manufacture of complex shapes. This results in new challenges for architecture. However, the architectural application also poses new problems to geometry. Architectural geometry is therefore an entire research area, currently emerging at the border between applied geometry and architecture. Written for students, architects, construction engineers, and industrial designers – Architectural Geometry is a source of inspiration for scientists interested in applications of geometry processing in architecture and art. With over 700 pages, including 2,100 full-color images of built architecture, architectural projects, and artwork, Architectural Geometry takes readers from basic to advanced geometry then leads them to the cutting-edge of research in the architectural geometry field.
