This report summarises the findings of a survey carried out in relation to the Marie Curie Research Training Networks (RTN) throughout the fifth Framework Programme. The primary objective of RTNs is to promote training-through-research, especially of young researchers, both pre- and post-doctoral level, within the frame of high quality international collaborative research projects, including those in emerging fields of research. Networks from a wide range of disciplines were supported. The review reflects the feedback given by more than 2000 recruited fellows at the occasion of the Mid Term-Review meetings.
