Why do you believe in God? Why do you believe in the Bible? Why do you believe in miracles? These are questions that Christians are often asked by sceptics. The field of apologetics attempts to provide rational answers to these and other questions. Unfortunately, apologetical answers to these questions are often abstract and philosophical. However, the Christian apologist/evangelist has a much more powerful argument in their arsenal: the argument from miracles. Miracles are the original Christian apologetic. It was through the witnessing of miracles that Christianity was originally spread. By applying modern tools of philosophical inquiry and scientific methodology, Wilson is able to establish a core set of miracles which defy naturalistic explanations and strongly point toward occurrences of Special Divine Action (SDA). However, once these occurrences are proven to be genuine miracles, several questions remain. Why does God sometimes perform miracles? Why does he often answer no? How do these random acts fit into his overall plans of redemption? By answering these and other questions, Wilson develops a comprehensive apologetic for both Christianity in general and the Renewal Movement in particular.

Designed as a 14-chapter manual that mirrors a full lecture series, this book addresses the most pressing challenges to faith, evil, divine hiddenness, science, pluralism, morality, Scripture, and the resurrection. With a careful blend of biblical wisdom, philosophical depth, and pastoral care, each chapter equips believers to engage difficult questions with both courage and compassion. Whether used in a classroom, church group, or personal study, this guide helps readers understand not only what Christians believe, but why those beliefs matter. Rather than offering quick answers, it fosters meaningful dialogue and grounded confidence, encouraging readers to live out their faith with clarity, humility, and love. “I do not always see, but I will not stop seeking.” - Henri Nouwen, The wounded healer “... the silence of God is God” - Mother Teresa’s, A complete authorized biography “After more than two thousand years of attacks, the Bible stands as the most accurately transmitted book from the ancient world.” - Josh McDowell, Evidence That Demands a Verdict “To be skeptical of the resultant text of the New Testament books is to allow all of classical antiquity to slip into obscurity.” - John Warwick Montgomery, History and Christianity

This brief but comprehensive introduction to Christian worldview helps readers understand the Christian faith as the substance of Spirit-filled living and as a knowledge tradition stemming from the global Pentecostal movement. Using beauty, truth, and goodness as organizing principles, the authors delineate a Christian worldview by tracing each category historically, comparing and contrasting each with alternative Christian expressions, and constructing fresh takes on each as read through the lived Pentecostal experience. Unlike other worldview books, the authors' approach emphasizes beauty (relating to experience) rather than truth (involving knowledge acquisition); that difference in emphasis flows naturally from the Pentecostal perspective, which has traditionally centered the experience of the Spirit. Pentecostal Christians will find this volume indispensable for thinking lucidly about their worldview from a renewal perspective.

This collection of essays explores the legacy of the Reformation with regard to the person and work of the Holy Spirit. Following the five-hundredth anniversary of Luther's posting of his ninety-five theses, these essays consider this legacy with particular reference to the work of Martin Luther and John Calvin, as well as broader Reformation themes as they are related to pneumatology and the life of the church today. The contribution of this collection is to tease out and reflect on pneumatology historically but also to relate these findings to contemporary discussions, especially among scholars of pentecostal and charismatic Christianity. Together these essays invite readers to appreciate the contribution that the Protestant Reformation makes to life in the Holy Spirit today, as well as offering critical and constructive reflection on this theme. It is a timely and significant contribution to the discussions of the person and work of the Holy Spirit and the church.
