Microservices is an architectural style that structures an application as a collection of distributed services. Microservices are certainly appealing but there are many questions that should be asked prior to diving into this architectural style: How do I deal with an unreliable network in a distributed architecture? How do I test my services? How do I monitor them? How do I package and execute them? That's when Quarkus comes into play. In this fascicle you will develop an entire microservice application using Quarkus as well as MicroProfile. You will expose REST endpoints using JAX-RS and OpenAPI, customise the JSON output thanks to JSON-B and deal with persistence and transaction with Hibernate ORM with Panache and JTA. Having distributed microservices, you will implement health checks and add some metrics so you can monitor your microservice architecture. Finally, thanks to GraalVM you will build native executables, and package and execute them with Docker. This fascicle is very practical. It is the companion book of the more theoretical Understanding Quarkus 1.x where you'll learn more about Quarkus, MicroProfile, REST and reactive microservices, as well as Cloud Native and GraalVM.

The definitive guide for designing and delivering reliable and high-performing persistence layers using Java in the cloud-native age Purchase of the print or Kindle book includes a free PDF eBook Key Features Uncover database patterns for designing readable and maintainable architectures and Java applications Master various techniques to overcome application and architecture persistence challenges Discover painless application modernization with change-data-capture powered by cloud-native technologies Book Description Having a solid software architecture breathes life into tech solutions. In the early stages of an application's development, critical decisions need to be made, such as whether to go for microservices, a monolithic architecture, the event-driven approach, or containerization. In Java contexts, frameworks and runtimes also need to be defi ned. But one aspect is often overlooked – the persistence layer – which plays a vital role similar to that of data stores in modern cloud-native solutions. To optimize applications and data stores, a holistic understanding of best practices, technologies, and existing approaches is crucial. This book presents well-established patterns and standards that can be used in Java solutions, with valuable insights into the pros and cons of trending technologies and frameworks used in cloud-native microservices, alongside good Java coding practices. As you progress, you'll confront the challenges of cloud adoption head-on, particularly those tied to the growing need for cost reduction through stack modernization. Within these pages, you'll discover application modernization strategies and learn how enterprise data integration patterns and event-driven architectures enable smooth modernization processes with low-to-zero impact on the existing legacy stack. What you will learn Gain insights into data integration in Java services and the inner workings of frameworks Apply data design patterns to create a more readable and maintainable design system Understand the impact of design patterns on program performance Explore the role of cloud-native technologies in modern application persistence Optimize database schema designs and leverage indexing strategies for improved performance Implement proven strategies to handle data storage, retrieval, and management efficiently Who this book is for If you're a developer, engineer, or software architect working in the field of software development, particularly with a focus on Java solutions, this book is for you.

Tibetan Yoga Of Movement The Art And Practice Of Yantra Yoga written by Chogyal Namkhai Norbu and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013 with Health & Fitness categories.
""Tibetan Yoga of Movement" "introduces the method of Yantra Yoga, a traditional Tibetan form that is one of the oldest recorded systems of yoga in the world. Derived from an eighth-century Tibetan Buddhist text, Yantra Yoga includes many positions similar to those of Hatha Yoga in form, but different in the dynamics of the way in which they are practiced, especially in the coordination of movement and breathing. The Yantra Yoga system encompasses 108 sets of movements (yantras) and several types of breathing to be learned at your own pace. Due to its emphasis on uniting breathing and movement, Yantra Yoga can deepen the experience of yoga practitioners from any tradition and profoundly benefit anyone seeking authentic balance, harmony, and the understanding of our true nature. Since the eighth century, this yoga teaching has been passed down from teacher to student in an unbroken lineage. ChOgyal Namkhai Norbu, the current lineage holder, began transmitting Yantra Yoga in the West in the 1970s. Presenting detailed instructions accompanied by over 400 instructional photos, the book describes the sequences of movements, methods of breathing, and the concrete health benefits of the practice. "From the Trade Paperback edition."
