Object Oriented Network Protocols written by Stefan Boecking and has been published by Addison Wesley Longman this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2000 with Computers categories.
This book provides a foundation for the object-oriented design and implementation of modular, composable, reusable, and/or extendable network communication protocols. Programmers will then be able to implement protocols and services by composing (rather than programming) them from a set of already specified, implemented and tested elementary protocol objects according to the application needs and the network environment. The book is organised in three parts: fundamentals of networks and applications, reference framework for modular communication systems and case studies of system designs and implementations.

Papers from a November 2002 conference report on results relevant for developing new communication technologies and novel network applications. Papers are grouped in sections on TCP wired and ad hoc/wireless networks, routing, formal methods, wireless TCP and overlays, multicast, Internet, security/DOS, and provisioning and resource setup. Some subjects are hybrid channel access scheduling in ad hoc networks, a formal approach for passive testing of protocol data portions, dynamic routing of bandwidth guaranteed multicasts with failure backup, clustering Web content for efficient replication, and using adaptive rate estimation to provide enhanced and robust transport over heterogeneous networks. There is no subject index. Annotation copyrighted by Book News, Inc., Portland, OR.

We arehappy to welcome you to the IFIP Protocols for High-Speed Networks '96 workshop hosted by INRIA Sophia Antipolis. This is the fifth event in a series initiated in Zurich in 1989 followed by Palo Alto (1990), Stockholm (1993), and Vancouver (1994). This workshop provides an international forum for the exchange of information on protocols for high-speed networks. The workshop focus on problems related to the e:fficient transmission of multimedia application data using high-speed networks and internetworks. Protocol for High-Speed Networks is a "working conference". That explains we have privileged high quality papers describing on-going research and novel ideas. The number of selected papers was kept low in order to leave room for discussion on each paper. Together with the technical sessions, working sessions were organized on hot topics. We would like to thank all the authors for their interest. We also thank the Program Committee members for the Ievel of effort in the reviewing process and in the workshop technical program organization. We finally thank INRIA and DRET for their financial support to the organization of the workshop.
