“Michalak and Yager have done it again. Their detailed explanation of the training process is practical and fills the gap between the theories and what effective trainers actually do. It’s a great resource for the novice and experienced trainer alike.” Ron Kregoski, President Kregoski Associates, Brighton, MI “A lot of books on training promise the world, but few provide practical, step-by-step answers to training challenges that professionals deal with everyday. I am excited about this valuable resource. So much so, had I the power, I would see that a copy of this book was included in every college HR student’s and training professional’s library. This book will teach every training professional, regardless of their level of expertise, something they didn’t know or help them design a training process that will add to the crucial bottom-line.” Wanda J. Smith, Ph.D., Professor of Human Resource Management Virginia Tech University, Blacksburg, VA Senior Partner, H & S Enterprises “Clear, concise, and to the point. Michalak and Yager go beyond the “fad” approach to training and instead address larger organizational and management issues. Must-reading for the trainer, manager, and consultant.” Calvin Sun, President Technology Horizons, Paoli, PA

Training Methods To Build Human Terrain Mapping Skills written by Laura A. Zimmerman and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2010 with Counterinsurgency categories.

"A key to success in counterinsurgency operations involves finding ways to identify the insurgents within the population. Success will likely require that Soldiers develop the cultural and information gathering skills necessary to develop a detailed knowledge of the human terrain in their area of operations. This report documents research conducted to develop Human Terrain Mapping (HTM) skills for Soldiers, where HTM is an overarching concept that refers to methods and tools used to systematically collect and catalog social and ethnographic information. Given the rapidly changing nature of current conflicts, the research effort sought to gather HTM training requirements and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) from members of an intact unit that had worked together performing the HTM functions in a recent deployment. Sixteen Soldiers from a recently deployed brigade were interviewed to identify the TTP they used to accomplish HTM tasks. Based on the interview findings a training product was developed that demonstrates methods and tools for building an understanding of the HTM process, specific information elicitation techniques, and Soldier observation skills."--DTIC.
