This paper will address Article 32 of the Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities, 2006 (CRPD). International co-operation, as a treaty mandated obligation is one of the path breaking provisions of the CRPD and it does not have an equivalent in any other international human rights treaty. Currently, the paper examines disability and international development programming, the history and travaux of Article 32 and its relationship with other provisions of CRPD and the work of the Office of High Commissioner of Human Rights (OHCHR) on International Co-operation. Two subsequent sections are being worked on which will assess the rights of persons with disabilities within the post 2015 MDG goals and review best practices of international co-operation.
