The Other Side Of Leadership written by Eugene B. Habecker and has been published by Victor this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1987 with Business & Economics categories.
There's more to leadership than being in the limelight. Power is appealing and leaders use and need power. The misuse of power by leaders, however, is appalling. But power from God's perspective is appropriating his strength and using it his way for his honor, not our own. In this book, Dr. Eugene Habecker presents the other side of Christian leadership, using the term followership to demonstrate the importance of first following the Lord Jesus, and then following those under our direction as true spiritual servants. Dr. Habecker also looks at the private dimension of the public figure, an issue ignored in many leadership books. Here he frankly discusses some of the problems a Christian leader struggles with every day, among them: the spiritual walk, financial considerations, family priorities, and sexuality. Christian leadership, says Dr. Habecker, is first and foremost discipleship. Read The Other Side Of Leadership and discover the equation for putting God at the controls. - Back cover.

Carnival And Other Christian Festivals written by Max Harris and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2003-12 with Religion categories.
With a riotous mix of saints and devils, street theater and dancing, and music and fireworks, Christian festivals are some of the most lively and colorful spectacles that occur in Spain and its former European and American possessions. That these folk celebrations, with roots reaching back to medieval times, remain vibrant in the high-tech culture of the twenty-first century strongly suggests that they also provide an indispensable vehicle for expressing hopes, fears, and desires that people can articulate in no other way. In this book, Max Harris explores and develops principles for understanding the folk theology underlying patronal saints' day festivals, feasts of Corpus Christi, and Carnivals through a series of vivid, first-hand accounts of these festivities throughout Spain and in Puerto Rico, Mexico, Peru, Trinidad, Bolivia, and Belgium. Paying close attention to the signs encoded in folk performances, he finds in these festivals a folk theology of social justice that—however obscured by official rhetoric, by distracting theories of archaic origin, or by the performers' own need to mask their resistance to authority—is often in articulate and complex dialogue with the power structures that surround it. This discovery sheds important new light on the meanings of religious festivals celebrated from Belgium to Peru and on the sophisticated theatrical performances they embody.
