Automotive Simulation written by Moshe R. Heller and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1989 with Business & Economics categories.

This book is a collection of reports by leading experts presenting the state of the art in automotive simulation, robot drivers and driving simulators. It covers highly qualified mathematical modelling tools including solvers, the use of new computer hardware, and the combination of tools and hardware to create realistic models which correlate with testing and experimental data. Two new approaches in car design are described here, one from the area of safety and crashworthiness and the other covering riding comfort and aerodynamics. In this area software tools play a major role, and artificial intelligence methods are employed to help the user handle complexity. Automotive simulation is a new technique in a century-old industry which has until now been based on building and testing prototypes.

Welcome to Bavaria - Germany - to the THIRD EUROPEAN CARS/TRUCKS SIMULATION SYMPOSIUM. That Schliersee traditional workshop-type meeting is a follow-up to the first and the second symposia which took place in May 1984 and May 1989 respectively. The objective of gathering together is to cover most of the aspects of Automotive Mathematical Modelling and Simulation in theory and practice to promote the exchange of knowledge and experience between different national and international research groups in that field, taking into consideration that every seventh German employee is related to the automotive industry. This effect is also in power at least with the traditional Detroit (U.S.A.) Automotive Industries and the growing up Japanease as well. Futhermore, there is to strenghten the international contact between developers and users of modelling and simulation techniques considering the "new world order" started in 1991 with no borders between West and East affected by the Golf-War and followed up by the "open" European Community borders of 1992. VI The traditional International Conference jointly promoted by ASIMUTH - Applied Simulation Technology and some other members of the Society of Computer Simulaton created an interest to publish new projects including their results. A large number of contributed papers has been strictly examined and selected by the editorial commitee to guarantee a high international technical standard.

Electric And Hybrid Vehicles written by Iqbal Husain and has been published by CRC Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-02-22 with Technology & Engineering categories.

A thoroughly revised third edition of this widely praised, bestselling textbook presents a comprehensive systems-level perspective of electric and hybrid vehicles with emphasis on technical aspects, mathematical relationships and basic design guidelines. The emerging technologies of electric vehicles require the dedication of current and future engineers, so the target audience for the book is the young professionals and students in engineering eager to learn about the area. The book is concise and clear, its mathematics are kept to a necessary minimum and it contains a well-balanced set of contents of the complex technology. Engineers of multiple disciplines can either get a broader overview or explore in depth a particular aspect of electric or hybrid vehicles. Additions in the third edition include simulation-based design analysis of electric and hybrid vehicles and their powertrain components, particularly that of traction inverters, electric machines and motor drives. The technology trends to incorporate wide bandgap power electronics and reduced rare-earth permanent magnet electric machines in the powertrain components have been highlighted. Charging stations are a critical component for the electric vehicle infrastructure, and hence, a chapter on vehicle interactions with the power grid has been added. Autonomous driving is another emerging technology, and a chapter is included describing the autonomous driving system architecture and the hardware and software needs for such systems. The platform has been set in this book for system-level simulations to develop models using various softwares used in academia and industry, such as MATLAB®/Simulink, PLECS, PSIM, Motor-CAD and Altair Flux. Examples and simulation results are provided in this edition using these software tools. The third edition is a timely revision and contribution to the field of electric vehicles that has reached recently notable markets in a more and more environmentally sensitive world.
