Steve and four superhumans he never met before in his life assemble in the middle of a deserted island. The five superhumans meet in a time of turmoil during the Cold War and dawn of the South American revolution, but they're propelled to the future where they learn that the past is not set in stone. On top of it, everyone is way out of their comfort zone as they find out they're no longer on Earth, but on a planet called Arlos. Time travel is a thing many do not believe possible, but if you could go back in time, why would you? To change the past is a paradox which even superheroes seem not to escape from except that this time it's not a paradox for the five superhumans, known as the Five Ghosts. They are not from the future or present, and their time traveling present is our future. Steve, known as Stargazer, leads this band of brothers to find a way back home by saving Queen Cassandra and stopping Korvax from obtaining time traveling powers and disrupting the order of the universe. Steve has to fight against his own team as they learn to deal with the weird situation and their own assertive personalities. Steve grew up watching the stars with his unique superhuman vision, but seeing the Sun as a very small white dot from another galaxy stirs him into action as a leader and hero. Queen Cassandra is near death, but the Five Ghosts fight through an army of demonic aliens to revive her from a parallax prison chamber. The time comes when the Five Ghosts see the opportunity to return home, but what they return to is not the same world they learned to appreciate. Earth is in danger, and they're the only ones who can change history, or should it be said, the future? Stargazer, Ghost, Rat Bastard, Spot, and Master find themselves in the middle of a worldwide plot to assassinate leaders and superhumans. Their only advantage in stopping the onslaught is no one knows them.

Rethinking Religion written by E. Thomas Lawson and has been published by Cambridge University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1993-01-14 with Philosophy categories.

This book is an ambitious attempt to develop a cognitive approach to religion. Focusing particularly on ritual action, it borrows analytical methods from linguistics and other cognitive sciences. The authors, a philosopher of science and a scholar of comparative religion, provide a lucid critical review of established approaches to religion, and make a strong plea for the combination of interpretation and explanation. Often represented as competitive approaches, they are rather, complementary, equally vital to the study of symbolic systems.

I was advised to start this book with where I studied and who my teachers where. I’m not going to do that. I am an ordinary person with unordinary thoughts. My autobiography consists of what I’ve done, mainly discoveries combined with theory. This is what you are holding in your hands now, and the incredible applications that follow from them. For many people where they studied and who taught them it is important, but for me it does not matter. Pierre Fermat was educated as a lawyer. In his spare time he was engaged in mathematics and left to mankind a number of mathematical discoveries. Evariste Galois did not even finish high school and was left without a degree because he could not take the Matura exam in mathematics. However, he left humanity almost all modern mathematics. Thomas Edison was almost illiterate, but this did not prevent him from becoming one of the most prolific inventors in his time. At the same time, tens of thousands of scientists work in institutes, leaving piles of books to mankind without any discoveries in them. In their scientific works there are only findings. Most of them are convinced that they do not make any discoveries because everything is already discovered. The truth is quite different. What we know is limited, but what we do not know has NO boundaries. I wrote this book because some omnipotence forced me to do this. My research showed that there are amazing events that are associated with rapid technological and spiritual development and change in the structure of human society. All this will be accompanied by natural cataclysms. Therefore, some biblical texts are misunderstood and misinterpreted. Under these conditions it is impossible to stay calm. Don’t let the mathematical formulas scare you. You can do without them. Read on and you will understand, because it is a theory of reality.

The Ideology Of Religious Studies written by Timothy Fitzgerald and has been published by Oxford University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2003-10-16 with Religion categories.

In recent years there has been an intensifying debate within the religious studies community about the validity of religion as an analytical category. In this book Fitzgerald sides with those who argue that the concept of religion itself should be abandoned. On the basis of his own research in India and Japan, and through a detailed analysis of the use of religion in a wide range of scholarly texts, the author maintains that the comparative study of religion is really a form of liberal ecumenical theology. By pretending to be a science, religion significantly distorts socio-cultural analysis. He suggest, however, that religious studies can be re-represented in a way which opens up new and productive theoretical connections with anthropology and cultural and literary studies.

What is a 21st century brand? How is it changing? What is critical now? What are the new mantras and principles? What are the new ideas for how to do it? What do you believe and what would you do therefore? What Is a 21st Century Brand? features 20 of the best papers produced during the 10 years of The IPA Excellence Diploma. Each is a fresh, original and uniquely personal perspective from the new generation of leaders across creative, media and digital agencies. Produced in partnership with internationally recognized advertising body, the IPA, the book is accompanied by commentary from leading industry thinkers including Stephen Woodford, Mark Earls, David Wilding and Ian Priest, and is edited by Nick Kendall. Together they offer multiple perspectives and the opportunity to challenge yourself to consider what you really believe about advertising and branding. Structured as 20 provocations written in the form of 'I believe... and therefore...', the essays are organized into three sections: - What is a brand? - How should we engage to build them? - How should we organise to deliver? Highlighting that today's most successful agencies are those which are embracing the new ways to consume content, What is a 21st Century Brand? delivers cutting-edge thinking across all areas of advertising practice, questioning the real fundamentals of creating and building brands. It is a thought-provoking read for any advertising practitioner or student.
