Learning Programming Using Matlab written by Khalid Sayood and has been published by Morgan & Claypool Publishers this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2007 with Computers categories.
This book is intended for anyone trying to learn the fundamentals of computer programming. The chapters lead the reader through the various steps required for writing a program, introducing the MATLABr(R) constructs in the process. MATLABr(R) is used to teach programming because it has a simple programming environment. It has a low initial overhead which allows the novice programmer to begin programming immediately and allows the users to easily debug their programs. This is especially useful for people who have a "mental block" about computers. Although MATLABr(R) is a high-level language and interactive environment that enables the user to perform computationally intensive tasks faster than with traditional programming languages such as C, C++, and Fortran, the author shows that it can also be used as a programming learning tool for novices. There are a number of exercises at the end of each chapter which should help users become comfortable with the language.

This is a short, focused introduction to MATLAB, a comprehensive software system for mathematical and technical computing. It contains concise explanations of essential MATLAB commands, as well as easily understood instructions for using MATLAB's programming features, graphical capabilities, simulation models, and rich desktop interface. Written for MATLAB 7, it can also be used with earlier (and later) versions of MATLAB. This book teaches how to graph functions, solve equations, manipulate images, and much more. It contains explicit instructions for using MATLAB's companion software, Simulink, which allows graphical models to be built for dynamical systems. MATLAB's new "publish" feature is discussed, which allows mathematical computations to be combined with text and graphics, to produce polished, integrated, interactive documents. For the beginner it explains everything needed to start using MATLAB, while experienced users making the switch to MATLAB 7 from an earlier version will also find much useful information here.

MATLAB for Neuroscientists: An Introduction to Scientific Computing in MATLAB is the first comprehensive teaching resource and textbook for the teaching of MATLAB in the Neurosciences and in Psychology. MATLAB is unique in that it can be used to learn the entire empirical and experimental process, including stimulus generation, experimental control, data collection, data analysis and modeling. Thus a wide variety of computational problems can be addressed in a single programming environment. The idea is to empower advanced undergraduates and beginning graduate students by allowing them to design and implement their own analytical tools. As students advance in their research careers, they will have achieved the fluency required to understand and adapt more specialized tools as opposed to treating them as "black boxes". Virtually all computational approaches in the book are covered by using genuine experimental data that are either collected as part of the lab project or were collected in the labs of the authors, providing the casual student with the look and feel of real data. In some cases, published data from classical papers are used to illustrate important concepts, giving students a computational understanding of critically important research. - The first comprehensive textbook on MATLAB with a focus for its application in neuroscience - Problem based educational approach with many examples from neuroscience and cognitive psychology using real data - Authors are award-winning educators with strong teaching experience

An introduction to radar systems should ideally be self-contained and hands-on, a combination lacking in most radar texts. The first edition of Radar Systems Analysis and Design Using MATLAB® provided such an approach, and the second edition continues in the same vein. This edition has been updated, expanded, and reorganized to include advances in the field and to be more logical in sequence. Ideal for anyone encountering the topic for the first time or for professionals in need of on-the-job reference, this book features an abundance of MATLAB programs and code. Radar Systems Analysis and Design Using MATLAB®, Second Edition presents the fundamentals and principles of radar along with enough rigorous mathematical derivations to ensure that you gain a deep understanding. The author has extensively revised chapters on radar cross-section and polarization, matched filter and radar ambiguity function, and radar wave propagation. He also added information on topics such as PRN codes, multipath and refraction, clutter and MTI processing, and high range resolution. With all MATLAB functions updated to reflect version 7.0 and an expanded set of self-test problems, you will find this up-to-date text to be the most complete treatment of radar available, providing the hands-on tools that will enrich your learning.
