Ingredients needed:
– 300 gr plain flour
– 2 eggs
– Salt
– Sugar
– Water
For filling:
– 5 eggs
– 50 gr minced chicken or beef
– Garlic (2 cloves), chopped finely
– Onion (1 pcs), chopped finely
– Spring onion (1 stalk), sliced thinly
-Salt and pepper
Instructions:
1. In a large mixing bowl, add the flour, salt, sugar, eggs, and water. Knead the mixture until it forms a smooth dough. Cover with a damp cloth and let rest for 30 minutes.
2. While waiting for the dough to rest, prepare the filling by whisking together the eggs in a separate bowl. Add garlic and onion and mix well.
3. Heat up oil in a frying pan on medium heat. Sauteé minced chicken or beef until it turns brown then add egg mixture into the pan.
4. Cook the egg mixture until it sets then sprinkle salt and pepper to season it before turning off the heat.
5. Take out the rested dough and divide it into several small pieces around size of ping pong ball each.
6. Flatten each piece of dough using rolling pin /pasta maker one by one into thin layer then place some filling onto half part of layer before fold another half over onto itself to make half-moon shape
7.Heat up plenty of oil in a non-stick pan on medium heat. Then cook each mini martabak by frying both sides until crispy and golden brown.
8. Remove from the pan and drain excess oil on paper towels.
Your Mini Martabak Telur is now ready to serve! Don’t forget to add some chili sauce or peanut sauce to enhance its flavor. You can also try to experiment with other fillings such as cheese, vegetables or minced meat of your choice. Enjoy this delicious snack with your family and friends!
